Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, father of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, is reportedly recovering well and is expected to be discharged from the hospital later this week. The celebrated writer had been admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he has been under medical supervision for the past few weeks.
According to reports, Salim Khan was hospitalised after doctors detected a brain clot. During his stay at the hospital, he underwent medical treatment and remained under the care of a team of specialists. Fortunately, his condition has shown steady improvement, bringing relief to his family members and well-wishers from the film industry.
Journalist Vickey Lalwani shared the latest health update, stating that the veteran writer is feeling better now. If his recovery continues at the current pace, he may be discharged from the hospital within the next three to four days. The update has reportedly brought a sense of relief to the Khan family after a difficult few weeks.
Salim Khan had been admitted to Lilavati Hospital on February 17 after experiencing a minor brain bleed. Doctors later performed a procedure known as Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) to investigate the issue. The procedure was successfully carried out by a neurosurgeon, and doctors confirmed that no surgery was required.
Speaking about his condition, pulmonologist Dr. Jalil Parkar earlier told the media, “We needed to carry out investigations, and today we performed a minor procedure. The procedure performed was a DSA by a neurosurgeon and has been accomplished successfully. He is fine and stable and has been shifted to the ICU.”
The doctor also explained in Hindi, “Woh aaye toh fully conscious aur fit lag rahe the. Thoda sa brain haemorrhage hua tha, jise humne tackle kar diya. Uske liye kisi surgery ki zarurat nahi hai.”
Hospital authorities had earlier confirmed that the veteran writer remained stable in the ICU and was being closely monitored. However, after several health updates surfaced publicly, it was reported that the family preferred privacy regarding his medical condition, following which the hospital stopped issuing regular statements.
Now, with his health steadily improving, the Khan family and fans are hopeful that Salim Khan will soon return home. Reports suggest that if his condition continues to remain stable, the veteran screenwriter may be discharged from the hospital later this week.
